Cards, watches, and gear for the garage. Here's what's worth buying, when to buy it, and what it really sells for.

What to buy, and when

What	Best time to buy	Tip
Graded sports cards	Any time	Pick his team's rookie card and compare sold prices by grade before you buy.
Watches	Late May	Pre-owned watch prices are steady; a price watch catches the dips.
Tools and trailers	Memorial Day sales	Outdoor and utility gear is often cheapest around Memorial Day.

Set a price watch on any of these and we'll email you when it drops to your number.
