Dinnerware, silver, and keepsakes she'll actually use. Here's what's worth buying, when to buy it, and what it really sells for.

What to buy, and when

What	Best time to buy	Tip
Dinnerware sets	Late April	Name-brand sets go on sale in the run-up; check what they usually sell for here.
Antique silver	Any time	Antiques don't follow the holiday calendar, so set a price watch early.
Flowers	The week before	Order by midweek to avoid weekend delivery surcharges.

Set a price watch on any of these and we'll email you when it drops to your number.
