Diyas, puja items, and dinnerware for guests, at US prices. Here's what's worth buying, when to buy it, and what it really sells for.

What to buy, and when

What	Best time to buy	Tip
Diyas and puja items	2–3 weeks before	Brass diyas and thali sets sell well in October; order early for shipping.
Dinnerware for guests	Early October	Sets for hosting are often on sale before the holiday season.
Gold and silver coins	Dhanteras, two days before	Compare the premium over the metal price, not just the sticker price.

Set a price watch on any of these and we'll email you when it drops to your number.
